Storm Syndicated General Nediym filly Military Gal resumed from a spell to score a stylish win at Rosehill on Saturday over 1100 metres, her second victory from three starts.

Military Gal’s trainer John O’Shea praised his filly’s performance declaring she’d improve out of sight after the benefit of the run.
“It’s [Military Gal] not ready,” O’Shea said.
“That is why that was such a good effort.”
O’Shea said the solid tempo up front set by Cortina Gal assisted his filly but the timing of the ride by Hugh Bowman wasthe major factor in the win.
After travelling behind the leading division, Bowman eased Military Gal
(pictured www.stevehart.com.au )out four horses from the insideat the top of the straight and nursed the filly until near the 300 metres when he set sail for home and the winner hit the front in the final stages.
“We’ll just keep racing through the winter months because she’s a BOBS horse,” said O'Shea.
“It’s a fair way down the track but she might end up on the Gold Coast in January for the Magic Millons 3YO.”

Fifth on debut behind classy juveniles Marquardt and Manhattan Rain back in January, Millitary Gal has won her only other starts and collecting some $71,300 in prizemoney for connections who include popular 2KY personalities Greg Radley and Terry Kennedy.
A
$120,000 purchase for Storm Thoroughbreds from the draft of Widden Stud at the 2008 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Military Gal (pictured as a yearling) is from the former good racemare Bella Moxie, a winner of five races and more than $100,000 in prizemoney.
Bella Moxie had a Flying Spur filly that made $100,000 for Widden Stud at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale earlier this year when knocked down to South African breeder/owner Lionel Cohen.
Military Gal is one of 13 juvenile winners this seasonfor ill-fated General Nediym, who is running third on the leading two year-old sires list.
